Ferry Cove, a new commercial hatchery being constructed outside of Easton, MD on Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking hatchery technicians and a phycologist to join their growing team which will use advanced hatchery production techniques and recirculating aquaculture systems to produce high quality larvae and seed. Some of the skills and experience they are looking for include:
- Experience using sterile techniques
- Algal hatchery experience preferred
- Phytoplankton culture
- Broodstock conditioning and spawning
- Larval culture
- Nursery production
