100L Algae Photobioreactor Intro

Learn how our 100L algae photobioreactor can help you with your lab scale algae production, research, or to help you feed aquatic animals. All of our reactors are made in Canada and are manufactured in our facility in Victoria, British Columbia.

This PBR 100L is a fully automated turn-key algae production system. It automatically controls your temperature, pH, volume, and nutrient addition. You set your desired parameters through the touch screen control, and the PBR will do the rest.

You inoculate the PBR with a small amount of algae. This algae can be freshwater, or marine algae, whichever type you would like to grow. The system will automatically scale-up the culture, adding more water and nutrients to keep the culture in exponential growth phase. Once you reach the desired level of algae biomass, from there, you can harvest the algae culture continuously, or harvest the entire batch.

You can control all of the culture parameters from the touch-screen controls – or by accessing them through your computer or mobile device without having to visit the facility. You can have your weekends back, without having to worry about your algae! 🙂

When you would like to reinoculate with a new culture it’s easy. Simply drain the culture, add your cleaning agents, press a button like a dishwasher. The final step is to let the algae machine do the work.
