NOVA HARVEST INCREASING GEODUCK PRODUCTION

Hatchery International Interview

Nova Harvest currently operates two of Industrial Plankton Inc’s photobioreactors to produce algae which is used as live feeds in their geoduck (clam) hatchery. They plan to increase their production next year to meet the growing demand.Click to read the full article about their current production, future plans, and their use of Industrial Plankton’s photobioreactors fromĀ Hatchery International Magazine.

Nova Harvest

Nova Harvest is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in Bamfield, British Columbia. They currently produce geoducks, which are a large saltwater clam in their hatchery. Geoducks are native to western Canada and the northwest United States. We recommend trying geoduck if you see it next time on the menu at your local seafood restaurant. They might just have started their life as larvae at Nova Harvest’s hatchery!
